About Us
Our Story: From Personal Struggle to Community Support
We are a small, family-run business based in the beautiful coastal town of Bude, Cornwall—but our journey began with a deeply personal struggle.
After giving birth to three large babies, I found myself battling stress incontinence—a condition that, while common, felt isolating and frustrating. Simple moments, like sneezing unexpectedly or jumping with my children, became sources of anxiety. Hoping for a solution, I underwent a series of embarrassing and invasive NHS tests, all in the hope of receiving the same mesh sling that had helped my mother for decades.
But then came the call. A gynaecological surgeon informed me that the procedure was no longer available. Instead, the only surgical option was a major operation—one that involved using tissue from my bladder, required a long and difficult recovery, and, quite frankly, felt like too extreme a solution for something that only happened occasionally.
Finding a Non-Invasive Solution
Determined to find an alternative, I discovered the HIFEM (High-Intensity Focussed Electromagnetic) Chair —a non-invasive treatment that strengthens the pelvic floor through supramaximal contractions that the human body is incapable of achieving on it's own. It sounded like the perfect solution, but it was extremely expensive at £100 per session (which had actually been discounted significantly already!), at least 6-8 sessions were required, and as it was based in Exeter it would be a 45 minute drive each way for me, twice a week!
Bringing Pelvic Floor Therapy to Our Community
I decided to have the treatment, and while attending I couldn’t shake the thought: why isn’t this available closer to home?
That’s when I decided to take matters into my own hands. I invested in a high-quality pelvic floor treatment chair, the Ultra Tesla Seat, so that not only could I continue my own treatment, but others in the community could access this life-changing therapy—without the long travel or overwhelming costs.
How We Can Help
And so, our little business was born.
We now offer affordable, non-invasive pelvic floor therapy, as well as a carefully curated selection of personal-use pelvic floor trainers. We also provide advice on strengthening your pelvic floor naturally, and we’re passionate about helping people regain their confidence, comfort, and quality of life.
Currently, you can find us at Welcombe Village Shop, but we’re excited to be moving into our own unit in Bude—hopefully by the end of March 2025!
Empowering You to Take Control of Your Pelvic Health
At our core, we believe that no one should suffer in silence. Whether you're a new mum, an athlete, a mature woman affected by menopause or peri-menopause, someone recovering from surgery, or simply looking to strengthen your pelvic floor, we’re here to help, support, and empower you on your journey to better pelvic health.
Thank you for supporting our family-run business—we can’t wait to welcome you!
